Hi, my Hiscore is 1398010 and I have 754 lives remaining but I cannot continue. I am on level 2 after going through the levels about 80 times. The trouble is that every time the ball hits a brick or the top wall, I get a message saying “Try again”. When this happens I do not lose a life but the ball is reset to the paddle. I just cannot hit the 3 blocks up the centre. This is killing me because i have about the 20th highest score so far recorded and other people have clearly gone further. Can anyone help. I cannot score any more points and i cant even kill myself of!!!!!!

I’m up to 157,680 with 50 lives. I was so excited because this is my breakthrough game, with my prior high score being about 60,000. BUT…my stupid blackberry radio went screwy. I turned it off, but now when I try to turn it back on, it says, “Wireless turning off; please wait.” This has happened before, and the only way to fix it is to take out the battery and reboot. But if I do this, my BB game will be erased. Woe is me. I don’t now how much longer I can go without my email.

Hey guys (I mean Natalie, CJ Popeye, and Bower),

First of all, thanks for participating.

Natalie: Look how frustrated these guys are. You probably don’t want to get that good.

CJ Popeye: I have had that happen to me as well. It sucks. I just had my phone randomly reset today. I had over 700,000 lives and 251 men! Look at the post on the main page under “the day I conquered Brickbreaker”.

Bower: I have seen some crazy glitches with the game, but I have never heard of that one. Good luck, and nice score!

My previous high score was just over 32,000 and I thought all of you were full of it. That is, until last week when I beat it and continued to where I am today with over 277,000 and 83 lives. I’m slightly disappointed that the game doesn’t get any harder though.

Natalie, once you can get thru the 34 levels 2 times (which is not easy - I was stuck at high score about 33k for a long time!) the game unfortunately gets a bit boring. The ball speed stays slow pretty much all the time and you just start accumulating points and lives. I’m at approx 195k now w/55 lives and would like to have a round occasionally with the ball speed similar to the 2nd go-around. Meanwhile I’ll go as long as the blackberry lets me at this point I guess. Good Luck!

I’m also at 1.2 million + and stuck on level 2 with the “try again” glitch. Does anyone know how to get out of this?

  8. Comment by Kedgemon on June 23, 2008 11:34 am

Yeah, I have gotten bored too. I think I’m on my 6th or 7th cycle through the levels. My previous high was ~34,000. But once I got through that second cycle of levels everything got super easy.
Right now my game has 105,900 and I have 40 lives left, but TEH BALL GOT STUCK AND I CAN’T EVEN SUBMIT MY HIGH-SCORE.

For anyone that hasn’t experienced it: once the bricks start dropping toard you there is a danger point where they have only fallen one step. At that point the ball can get “wedged” or lost between the top brick and the top of the game-box.

I know I’ve had it reappear once, but I don’t know what I might be able to do to get the ball to reappear. I’ll just wait a few days and see.

I play brickbreaker a lot. But not as much as some of you guys. It seems like you all complain about the same thing. Who cares if the game resets? Find a different hobby, a girlfriend, SOMETHING else to pass the time so that when your game goes down you are not left a whimpering puddle of social-misfit soup.

  10. Comment by Will on September 2, 2008 3:26 pm

Actually I retract my last statement. You should be happy when the game goes down on you, ’cause it’ll probably never happen with a girl. ZING!

HOW the HELL do you get such high scores??!!?? Best I EVER did was areound 12000 on level 26.
    I bow to the masters!!

I too feel that Brickbreaker is taking over my life. I find myself constantly playing whenever I have a free moment. Traffic lights, between contacts, while I’m waiting for my xbox to load, everywhere. My current running score is 454,290 with 55 lives. May just have to unistall it if my poor work habits keep up.

  13. Comment by Jonathan on September 17, 2008 9:23 am

I am in a void as to what the highest scores recorded are? I have been playing the same game now and am at 1,303,220 with 224 lives left. Where do I stand in the real world of BB fanatics?

  14. Comment by MasterBreaker on September 17, 2008 12:03 pm

You are doing well Jonathan. You have reached a certain mastery. What say you to a timed challenge?

Take a look at the description on the main page under Head to Head Challenge 2008.

  15. Comment by Greg on September 17, 2008 12:30 pm

Hi Jonathan, I have a quick question and i am not sure who to ask. I am not sure how to create a password so i can send my high score. When i get new high scores it does not send. I am currently at 237,000 pts

  16. Comment by MasterBreaker on September 17, 2008 5:18 pm

    Hey Greg,

Pause your game, bring up the system menu (click the button to the left of your track ball), scroll down to “Options”, your UserName will be there. You should be able to change it and create a password.

Brickbreaker has now become monotonous after all these months of trying to beat the first two levels. No I am just racking up points (over 1 million) and lives (over 200). The ball never speeds up and the goal is to post a high score and quit - done, over! However, the Blackberry 8830 is freaking out because of the cache files. It is slowing down, missing calls and just plain bogged down. Does anyone know how to clear up unecessary files or something to keep going? If it resets, or dies, I will never get to submit the high score. Can you submit BEFORE finishing a game and before it finishes you? Verizon told me to hold down the ALT button and type LG LG and that clears some logs. That helps, but the whole phone is going haywire! Is there a Brickbreaker Tech Support somewhere with some answers? Please help!! I told my wife I am through with game….soon! Got to get back to normal.

hi, i too am a recovering brickaholic, which wasnt even an issue until my incident. One evening was slaving for brick while waiting for the d-train. I was on the U-ndertaker level, level 16, i had 1 life left and 1 brick remaining in the lower left hand corner. When suddenly a man arose from behind a darkened piller and tackled me, my blackberry hit the floor and bounced away from me. I glared at it for a bit, hearing “game over” echoing in my brain. when i came to, i must have went 360 and came back as someone else. i chased down that demon from hell and flung him onto the tracks, steadily vibrating from an on coming suburban train. i’m proud to say that i am not a slave to brick anymore, but am now a slave to killing.

I’m at 819,290 with 144 lives and am in this for the 1M.

Just another set goal to be reached in my life–we are measured by those goals we hit that at first seemed insurmountable.

It was morning of day 53 and as usual, i rounded my score off before going into the office…3,020,000. My Blackberry was in my lap and when I went to get out of my truck, there to went my Blackberry, down to the ground, the back coming off and my battery popping out…i had to tell myself that the first 64 levels are the funnest. Yes, my game was lost and I am now on day 17…950,000. I’m in for the BrickBreaker timed challenge! milesbec@msn.com

Wow, I was stuck on 29,470 for the last two months. I was getting frustrated because I was not able to break more than 15,000 or so. I started playing yesterday and I am happy to let you know that I am now at 33,480 and got to level 31 when I was done in.

  23. Comment by Elliot on December 12, 2008 1:57 pm

With a shaking hand and 1 life left, I just completed level 34 of 34 only to have it go to a new board I have not seen. I thought it was supposed to start over. I thought I would never have to play again.

    Why did this happen?
